Shopify Scripts (Ruby, legacy) were the old way to customise checkout on Plus. Shopify Functions (Rust/JS compiled to WASM) are the new standard — faster, more powerful, and supported long-term. Shopify is deprecating Scripts. We build all new Plus projects with Functions, and can migrate existing Script-based customisations to Functions.
